British Berkefeld water filter systems, Ultra Sterasyl and Ultra fluoride water filters

FAQ- When will Black Berkey Elements be available?

Unfortunately, Black Berkey® REPLACEMENT Elements will remain unavailable until Berkey Water Systems reaches a favorable outcome in the court case against the EPA. The appeals court date is scheduled for the early part of June. Come back to this site for updates.

As an alternative, Use either our NSF certified Ultra Sterasyl or Ultra Fluoride water filters by British Berkefeld that perform equally to the Black Berkey Elements.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION; While the system can efficiently filter raw untreated water, always use the cleanest, clearest water possible.  As an additional precaution, if using a source of water that you believe might contain extreme viral and bacteriological contamination, it recommended by the CDC, EPA and other organizations that approximately 16 drops of plain bleach (sodium hypochlorite) or iodine per gallon to treat the source water before purifying.

This should kill minute pathogens such as viruses in approximately 30 minutes. The disinfectant will then be removed after cycling the treated water through the gravity water filter system.
