Berkey by NMCL is excited to announce the release of our new economical replacement filters for use in Berkey® water systems. The NSF CERTIFIED Phoenix New Millennium Edition™ Water Filter Elements are being offered in lieu of Black Berkey® Elements not being available.
As you are well aware, Black Berkey® replacement filter sets (BB9-2®) have not been available since late in 2023 due to the stop order placed on Berkey International by the EPA, which prevented the further manufacture of Black Berkey® Elements.
As an alternative to the Black Berkey Element we have incredible filters for you to use in your gravity water filter systems. All of our water filters have NSF certification.

UPDATE - Berkey Lawsuit against EPA (Oct 29 2025)

- The Black Berkey elements are interchangeable with the British Berkefeld systems and other other brand name gravity systems. (the PF-2 filters can be used as well.)
Note: TDS level water tests on our elements do not indicate a negative performance. Beneficial minerals are bypassed through the elements which will register a TDS reading. Only reverse osmosis will give you low TDS readings.

Black Berkey® Elements
The Black Berkey® Elements warranty period is for six months. Warranty period begins from the date of receipt of the product by the original purchaser.
Caution; Most of the Black gravity filters on Amazon are NOT Berkey products.
